The Velcro openings add to the ease of installing the cover. The nomie babyTM car seat cover slips over the existing cover, without having to remove it from the car, or struggle to disassemble the straps. Simply open the Velcro, pull the straps through, and close the Velcro around them. No more wrestling with the straps and buckles, or taking the car seat out of the car. You'll have to get your exercise another way!
